Good Morning Everyone!
Today is the day that we are announcing all of the winners from the Pink by Design blog hop!  I used random.org to pick my winner and it picked

Mandy (Scrapbugz)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!  I will email you also to let you know that you won the Mystery Prize!!

I am working on having a fun project up for you guys later today or tomorrow.  I am having a rough few weeks with a scratched cornea and am actually going to an eye doctor today to see if there is something else they can do so it heals completely!  Makes it hard to craft with just one eye ;-)

You Rock!

Hi Everyone,

First I would like to say "thank you" to all of you that stopped by for the Pink by Design Blog Hop and left such sweet comments.  I read each and every one, and it made my weekend!  Also, welcome to all my new followers!!  Tomorrow I will be choosing a winner from the blog hop so be sure to check back and see if it is you!!

Today I have a fun project for you.  They have these cute little candy dispensers and guitar cuts in the silhouette store.  I decided to make it with a matching card as a simple "thank you" gift for someone who helps me out all the time.

I used my star border paper punch for the bottom of the card and then took a couple of the stars I punched out and added them to the white part of the design.  The "You Rock" is from Pink by Design.  This stamp set is called "Enjoy the Journey" and you can get it by clicking here!

Don't forget to check back tomorrow and see if you are the winner!!

Today I am going to highlight the Stamp of the Month Set called "My Favorite Kind". I love the sentiments on this set and how they could be used for any loved one or special friend in your life.

I just moved my craft space into another room in our house and I want to decorate it with pictures of my boys and husband. I decided to make my own picture frame for one of the pictures of my husband and I.

To make this frame, I just cut a piece of chipboard to a 6x6 inch square. I found the background paper in my stash, attached it using my atg gun and then inked the edges with brown memento ink. I cut the two hearts on my silhouette in coordinating papers and added a button and twine for an added touch. I used another coordinating paper to attach our picture to and attached the whole piece again with my atg gun. I found the thick twine in my ribbon drawer (no idea where I got it from) and knew it would be perfect to wrap around and tie off at the bottom. I then used my new Pink by Design stamp set "My Favorite Kind" for the sentiment. It is just perfect for the picture!

Here are a couple close of views:

I decided that I am going to make frames with pictures of my boys that match and use different sentiments from the same set! I will definitely post them as soon as they are finished!

BLOG CANDY!!!
Mystery prize...... what is a mystery prize you ask??? I can't tell you ;-) I will choose one lucky follower who comments on this post and send you something fun! You can also get an extra entry by liking my facebook page "Creatively Crafty" and let me know you did! What would life be without fun surprises every now and then?!

It's Your Birthday!

Hi Everyone,
Today is my turn to post over on the Pink by Design blog!  Go check out my fun "Angry Birds" themed card I made for my husband!  I am also going to share the other "Angry Birds" card I made for his twin brother here with you today!
I found free jpgs on the internet to download and used the cut & print feature to make them the perfect size for my card.  I hand cut and inked all the boards and grass.  I used my silhouette for the 32 and one of the oldest pink by design stamp sets called "Simply Everything".  On the inside of the card I used one of the newer stamp sets called "Take the Cake".

Trust me when I say this sentiment was perfect for him ;-)

Also, you don't want to miss the Pink by Design blog hop and U-stream this Friday!!!  There are so many awesome releases and you will get lots of sneak peeks this week!!

Have a wonderful day,

I'm back!

Hi Everyone!
I don't know what is going on at our house but we have all gotten sick multiple times this year!!  Last Monday I woke up with double pink eye and it was no better on Thursday. Turns out I scratched my cornea and that was why I was in so much pain!  Needless to say, I didn't get to craft or anything last week because I only had one "good" eye.
I forgot to show you the Easter eggs I decorated with my two little boys so I thought I would share those with you today.  It is my turn to post over at Pink by Design tomorrow and it is a super fun card ( you don't want to miss it!)

We had a lot of fun making them! My kids were sad when they had to go ;-)

Easter is almost here!

Happy Friday!

Easter is almost here and I just wanted to share with you a couple of little Easter treats I put together.  They are all from the silhouette store and really easy to assemble!
The "Happy Spring" and "Easter Blessings" sentiments are both from Pink by Design!

Sorry this post is so short!  My little guy has been really sick this week and just wants me to sit and cuddle with him!!

Have a wonderful Easter!

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hi Everyone,
I have a fun birthday card and matching gift bag to show you today.  I wanted to try something new with my card so I weaved ribbon through the top and scored it at a half inch to give it a different look.  I found the cupcake in the silhouette store and then saw this adorable cupcake gift bag!  I used the same colors that were in the card so they would go well together.  I put a couple little candles from Bath and Body Works along with a gift card inside!

The "Sweet Birthday Wishes" sentiment is from my favorite stamp designer, Pink by Design!!  Click here to look at the set I used!

Awana Grand Prix

Good Morning!
First off, it is my day to post over at Pink by Design so head on over and check out the fun Easter basket I made ;-)

Both of my little guys are in Awana at our church and last week was the Grand Prix.  Each child gets a wooden car to put together and decorate and then they race each other on a pretty cool downhill track.  My husband is in charge of putting the tires and weights on, and it is my job to decorate them! (My kids are still a little young to do their own)

My youngest loves Lightning McQueen so I tried to make his car resemble him the best I could.  I used vinyl for the lightning and then used my cars digital kit for the 95 and Rusteze symbols which I put on with modge podge. The rest of the details were painted on with acrylic paint from Michaels.

I decided to do something a little different for my other son's car and make it a beach theme.  I painted the car blue, sponged on brown around the bottom to look like sand and then used vinyl for the surfboards, palm trees and crab.  I then painted on the eyes and the bumper/fender.  All of the vinyl cuts were found in the silhouette store and I scaled them down to fit the car.  I love how small it can cut and still give that detail!

fun, huh!?

My boys were excited to race their cars and ended up getting 2nd and 3rd place for design ;-)

Just another fun way to use the silhouette for something other than paper projects!!

Have a great day!

"Glass Etched" Vinyl

Happy Monday!

Wow, the weekend just flew by!!  I did quite a few projects last week that I didn't get to post so I wanted to share them with you!
I get all of my vinyl from craftvinyl.com and love it!  I just received some glass etching vinyl the other day and wanted to try it out.  Glass etching vinyl is vinyl that makes it look like the glass it etched!  I cleaned out my fridge this past week (NASTY!) and when it was all done wanted to spruce it up a little bit.  I decided to etch all the doors with my vinyl.  My husband may have thought I was just a little nuts but I get excited about cleaning and organizing ;-)

These were not easy to get pictures of but you get the idea!  The best part of this vinyl is I can peel it off when I don't want it anymore and it isn't permanently etched!
