I am in the process of decorating for spring and saw this really great saying in the Silhouette Store. I thought it would be perfect for my bay window where I would see it everyday.
I love this because it is a reminder that my life is pretty amazing. We may not have as much as other people, but at least we are part of a loving family. We could be doing really well financially but I chose to stay home and raise our two little boys and live off of my husbands teacher income. Are my kids really hurting by not having the latest toy, designer clothes, or not going on vacations multiple times a year....no. I think it means more that I am able to spend time with them daily and help mold them into the men they are going to be one day. I am truly blessed with what I have and this will remind me on the days when I start to wish we could afford more that we don't need "things" to be happy. Some of the richest people in the world are the unhappiest...
Ok, enough about that :-) Here is how I made this. I took the backside of a canvas I had already decorated for Valentine's Day and covered it with textured white cardstock. I then went into my silhouette studio and resized the phrase to fit 9x12. I ungrouped the words and cut them out individually on different colors of cardstock and used my zig 2 way glue pen to adhere them. Super easy to do and I love how I was able to use the backside of a used canvas.
