Pink by Design Stamp Release Blog Hop

Happy Friday Everyone!
Today is an exciting day because you all get to see the amazingly fun new stamp sets that Sarah over at Pink by Design is releasing today!!

Are you enjoying the blog hop so far?!?!  If you are coming from Melisa's blog, you are in the right spot! If you want to start from the beginning, make sure you head over to Pink by Design!  I promise you don't want to miss any of the sneak peeks!

Here is the order in case you lose your way :-)

I have had so much fun making cards and home decor projects, that I haven't been been very good about keeping up with my scrapbooking (which is why I got started in the first place).  I decided now is as good a time as any to get back on track!  I know it is pretty simple, but sometimes that is best ;-)

The new stamp set I get to share with you today is called "Tooth Fairy".  This is a super fun set that you can use for scrapbooking or making a special something for your child when they lose a tooth!  My kids aren't old enough to lose teeth yet, so I decided to make a layout of my little guy learning to brush his!  I love that there are so many options with this set and they are so unique!

Here are a couple close ups of the sentiments I used:

The teeth and toothbrush are from the Silhouette online store.  I hand cut the toothpaste tube and the "toothpaste" that is spilling everywhere!  I cut one of the teeth bigger and added lines so I can journal there.  Like I said, not super fancy but my son had a huge smile when I was showing it to him and that means the most, right?!

Here are the links to all of the sets being released today!  Make sure you check them out!!

Un-FROG-etable

It's Hump Day!
Yesterday it was my turn to post over at Pink by Design and today I am going to show you the card I made.

Isn't he cute?!  I found this little guy in the Silhouette online store along with the dragonfly and flowers.  I hand cut the sign, inked it with brown memento ink and then added this cute little sentiment!  It is from Pink by Design's set called "Just Sayin' ".  This set is so fun and has lots of unique sentiments!  Head on over and check it out!

Also, Pink by Design has another Stamp Release this Friday! We are going to start the fun off with a blog hop and there will be lots of sneek peeks along the way.  I am one of the stops and you are definitely going to want to check it out :-)

Have a great day!

Angry Birds Personalized T-Shirts

Hi!
Today I have a project for you that I am super excited about.  Recently, my 3 and 4 year olds have become obsessed with Angry Birds on my husband's iPad.  I am not exactly thrilled that they are wanting to play video games this young so I limit them to 10 minutes each for the whole day.  Well, we were at the water park today and my 3 year old spotted an Angry Birds beach towel and was so excited.  He knows I can make stuff so he said "make me one please???"  Melted my heart and I told him I could make him a t-shirt.

I found Angry Birds jpegs on my computer and put them into my Silhouette Software.  I had to trace and detach them before I made them the size I wanted.  I found a font that looks exactly like angry birds font called "Feast of Flesh" (that sounds really nice, doesn't it!?)  You can get it for free at dafont.com. I adjusted everything the way I wanted it and left my son's name white so it would show up really nice on a black shirt.

I used the print and cut feature of my silhouette for this project.  I made sure it was set for standard size paper, added the registration marks, made sure my cut lines were correct, and then I printed it onto "June Tailor Dark T-Shirt Transfer paper" that I found at Michaels.  I then cut it on my silhouette.  I used the light print paper settings which keeps your blade at one and clicked for it to double cut.

I followed the iron on directions and voila!!!!!

I finished it just before bedtime and my little guy's face just lit up!  He said "Thank you Mommy!" and ran to show his daddy and brother.  He asked if he could wear it and I told him "as soon as he wakes up" ;-) He wanted me to take his picture holding it up!

Of course I had to make my 4 year old one too!  He hasn't seen it yet because it wasn't quite ready when he went to bed!

I do have the silhouette files and would be happy to email them to you if you would like!  Leave me a comment with your email address and I will get it out to you!

Have a great day!

P.S. I found the shirts at Michaels, and they are 4 for $10 right now!

Vinyl on Tile!

Happy Monday Everyone!
I spent a good portion of my weekend painting and re-decorating my living room.  When it was finished, my family room needed something to spruce it up too.  I decided to get a tile that matched my kitchen floor and put vinyl on it as a nice little edition to the room. The tile is 12x12.  I used the Times New Roman and Playball for the fonts and created the whole thing on my silhouette software.  Vinyl doesn't like to stick to tile for some reason so I put a layer of modge podge first and let it dry.  The vinyl still didn't want to come off the transfer paper very easily but once on, it stuck really well!

I really like how it turned out, and it looks so nice in my family room :-)

Tumbler overload

Happy Monday!
I found these tumblers at the 99 cent only store and bought a bunch!  I made a lot of gifts with my vinyl this weekend and wanted to share them with you today!

First, I made tumblers for my husband and his twin brother for Father's Day!

Look how happy he is!!  Plus he doesn't like his picture taken so he decided to act overly ridiculous for this picture (he is cute in real life, LOL!)

Disney themed tumblers for our really good friends!

Zumba tumblers for a friend of mine, our instructor, and one for me!!

I used regular repositional vinyl on these because they are handwash only.  I found that it stays put as long as you don't put it in the dishwasher :-)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Star Wars Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,
Today is my day to post over at pink by design!!  Go check out the fun card/gift idea I made here!

My Father in-laws birthday is this weekend and he is a huge Star Wars fan.  I wanted to try to make a card that was Star Wars themed but didn't have any cuts for it.  I decided to use my silhouette software and download a couple of jpgs from the internet.  I made two circles on my software and welded them to make a card.  I then used the print and cut feature for the death star and Darth Vader.  The balloons are actual cuts from the silhouette store.

I used a white gel pen for the front sentiment.  Inside I used part of a PBD stamp to get the word "Birthday" and then hand wrote the other part. The stamp came from the set "Party Time".  I just love how you can do just about anything with the silhouette!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

More Father's Day Ideas!

Hi!
I made a fun drink holder from the silhouette store a couple weeks ago (click here for details on it), and wanted to show you what I am doing with it for Father's Day gifts!  My husband and his twin brother are huge Cubs and Bears fans so I decided to etch them their own glasses.  I found the glasses at the dollar store and they fit perfectly in the cup holder!!  I found jpegs online and imported them into my silhouette program so I could make vinyl stencils.  Super easy now that I have the hang of it!

My husband has already taken his glasses but my brother in-law will get his on Father's Day :-)

Check back tomorrow for a card that is "Out of this world"!

Father's Day Idea

Hi Everyone,
Sorry it has been awhile since I posted!  I have been creating lots of fun things but haven't been able to get the pictures off my camera.  I think I have it figured out now.....gotta love technology ;-)

Today I wanted to share with you a plaque I made for my dad for Father's Day.  I went to Lowe's and found a 12x12 floor tile that I liked and then had them cut it to 9x12.  I used brown silhouette vinyl and the font is called "Aver" which I downloaded from www.dafont.com.

I tried to pick a tile that matches the tile in my dad's house so that it will look nice when he puts it up.  They have lots of great stands to choose from at Michael's and Hobby Lobby, so I need to check those out this weekend :-)

Have a great weekend!
